About Access Control Installers

We install, repair and maintain access control, door entry and intercom systems for commercial buildings, blocks of flats and gated sites across the United Kingdom.

How we work

Every job starts with a survey, because the door leaf, the frame, the closer and the fire strategy decide the hardware, and none of those can be assessed over the phone. From that survey you get a written quotation itemised per door, with the actual hardware named, so it can be compared properly against anyone else's price.

We install all the common system families rather than a single manufacturer, which means the specification follows the building instead of the building following our stock list. It also means we can service and extend systems someone else installed, rather than telling you it all has to be ripped out.

What we will not do

  • Quote without seeing the doors.
  • Fit a maglock to an escape door without a fail-safe supply, a hard-wired fire interface and a green break-glass release.
  • Specify unencrypted fobs that can be cloned in a shopping centre kiosk.
  • Leave site without commissioning, testing the fire release and handing over documentation.
  • Publish reviews, ratings or accreditations we cannot evidence.

Coverage

We cover England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland through a network of regional engineers. Work sold through this site is carried out by installers working under our contract, so you deal with one company from survey to handover — there is no handing you off to a third party and stepping out of the picture.

Compliance and data

Access control systems record personal data: who went through which door and when. That makes you a data controller for those records. We will tell you at survey stage what the system logs, how long it retains it, and what you need to have written down — particularly if you are considering biometric readers, which involve special category data under UK GDPR and normally require a data protection impact assessment.

What happens next

Four steps from first call to a working, documented system.

  1. 1

    Tell us about the doors

Call, WhatsApp or send the form. How many doors, what building, what you are trying to stop happening.

  2. 2

    Free site survey

An engineer looks at the frames, the cable routes and the fire strategy, and confirms what each door needs.

  3. 3

    Fixed written quote

Itemised door by door, with the hardware named. No work is booked until you approve it.

  4. 4

    Install, commission, hand over

Fitted, tested with the fire alarm, users loaded, documentation issued.
