How we arrived at these ranges
The ranges come from typical UK installed costs for each system type, adjusted for door count — the controller and software cost is shared once you pass a single door, so the per-door figure falls as the job grows. Extras such as fire interfacing are priced per door; gate, barrier and automatic door work is priced per entrance.
What the tool cannot see is the thing that moves the price most: the cable route. A door 6 metres from an existing panel is a different job from a door across a service yard in a listed building. That is what the survey is for, and it is free.
